The standard mousetrap is a design classic, but we think it can be improved on. This week's challenge is to do just that: we want a better, more efficient, 21st Century trap.

A pea that can roast itself
Since this has proved itself a better mouse trap than the actual mouse traps we bought have a pea:

And yes the microwave is still working after a thorough disinfectation.

Modern trap for modern mouse

My hope is that we will create GM mice that can catch themselves thus negating the need for traps altogether

They may have trouble keeping the cheese balanced though.
