victorian public colonoscopy viewing centres were all the rage for several years until public health authorities shut them down after some twit didn't wash up properly and touched, among other things, the handle on the pump of the broad street well. that, and too many perverts ignored the signs and prodded the semi-conscious patients, leading to much disgruntlement and forever dooming the rest of us to private colonoscopies observed only by doctors, nurses, medical students and curious wanderers-by who poke their heads into unlocked rooms of hospitals hoping for an eyeful of ringing fun.
