In fairness
The steam engines were totally right about diesels taking all their jobs and destroying their livelihood. Doesn't that rather undermine the satire?

I've no idea
I just took the diesel animosity from Thomas the tank engine and gave it a UKIP shade for lols. It's not meant to be satirising real railways... I very nearly called the green engine Nigel, but thought it too on the nose.
