Phew, so I'm not alone then.
I now have the patience of a five year old. Don't even ask how to do partial differential equations, let along Castigliano's theorem. I do believe that people who forget happen to be experiencing life to the extent that they just can't keep the old stuff in there any more. At least that's my attempt to feel better about having several degrees, and not knowing shit.

It isn't rocket surgery.
All you have to do is feed the world's starving, give everyone a decent wage, free education for all well into your twenties and a decent pension at 60.
How hard can that be?
