This is a normal post I feel it's an appropriate place to say that in the last 20 years I've not listened to music on anything larger than a 3" speaker.
I also like stick figure cartoons.

This is a normal post Haha. Look at all of these replies. It's almost as serious as the subject of diets.

This is a normal post you're in for a treat
when you finally get around to listening to your favourite tunes in a decent room on a reasonable system...

no voodoo or fancy connectors (google coat hanger speaker wire) just a nice room with a half decent amp and speakers in it. x

This is a normal post Or a decent pair of headphones (and a headphone DAC if your music is on your computer).

This is a normal post I've been looking forward to pulling my super nice speakers out of storage.
I've been moving so much over the last 20 years, and living in places where speakers would be ruined, that they just sit idle.

My dad was an audiophile. And his taste in music was hideous, not unlike every audiophile I've ever known. I think it's their way of trying to find what they don't have due to a lack of knowledge and musical maturity, and I believe there is such a thing.

This is a normal post I like the minimalist cut of your jib
but you may have been missing some great bass lines, not to speak of elephantine sounds www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvh45kq_TDg

This is a normal post I have a storage van that I put a tiny speaker in.
A friend came over, and we laughed at how good it sounded. The whole van acted as some kind of perfect resonance chamber, and that little speaker was great.

It was funny because when we were just kids, he and I and another neighbor all got together and made huge speakers. Mine were smaller, but they sounded better. My friends were disappointed that these huge things that took up a portion of their room didn't have what mine did.

But it goes beyond that. I can get the context without all of the content.

Also, I have speakers everywhere. I used to have them outside, all over my property. I could walk around and always hear music.

This is a normal post Somehow I don't miss the high quality sound. I like to think that quality music is unrelated to quality of the sound.
I guess that's what lo-fi was all about. It was like they were thumbing their nose audiophiles.

We had a party in a backyard, and someone had these huge quadraphonic sound system speakers. They were so big that they had to tear down a portion of fencing just to get them in the back yard. It just seemed like a lot of work for very little return. Wild party though.
