if you think about it, the moment you moved to the right or left whilst looking in the mirror, your line of sight would be like looking in a window rather than a mirror and instinctively you'd know it wasn't reflective.

But the left or right is fine. Go look in a mirror, and pretend for a second, that its a window into a mirrored room... As long as the room is rigged right, it doesn't make a difference.
