Strange that Saudi Arabia (for example) actually is a religion-based theocracy, yet criticising their various policies *isn't* generally equated with being anti-islamic.
Israel on the other hand is, ostensibly, secular and only 75-ish% jewish people, yet criticising their govt is often conflated with being anti-jewish.
This post isn't about defending islam/judaism/whatever. I'm trying to figure out why there's a difference.
