This is a link post At The Drive In - 'One Armed Scissor' live on 'Later...'
I think this is what Bill hicks was on about when he did his "Play from the fucking heart!" rant.

What's great about this is it was one of those segments where there's no link from Jools into the next act. The one song finishes and the camera pans to the next stage ready for the next act.

The next act? A shit-scared Robbie Williams singing Angels!

Also, from the same show...

This is a normal post Good track
probably the only one of theirs I actually like.
I preferred when they split up and became Sparta and The Mars Volta, although only TMV's first album was any good the 2nd one was not to my tastes.

This is a normal post God, they were good
I think I'd have to say that Relationship of Command is my favourite album to rock to. Except for perhaps a bit of Atari Teenage Riot.

I loved the look on Robbie Williams's face when he watched them. Great stuff.

This is a normal post Ah, ATDI, ATR..
such was the early noughties for me.
If only there were comparable acts out now, with FIRE IN THEIR BELLIES! Not like this TV-endorsed 'indie' music we have nowadays..

This is a normal post Arguably one of the best bands ever
Shame that Omar and Cedric did a bit of a dirty on the band, but having said that TMV and Sparta are still both great bands - though imo Sparta has the edge - Check out their live stuff for the big day out '03 - sheer awesomeness.

Jim Ward's also doing another project or two that you might want to keep an eye on.
