Can you back up the 40% unemployment bit?
Because that's outrageously high.
According to Welsh government figures the current unemployment rate for Blaenau Gwent is currently 9.3%.
Which is still bloody awful but you don't have to inflate this figure.
"nearly 40% of people are either unemployed or not available for work!"
Did they include children and pensioners in this 40%?
Even if you accept the figure, you wonder why people living on handouts are not happy with the status quo?

no you're absolutely right about the 40%
I can see exactly why people living there are unhappy with the status quo but I wonder if using the EU referendum as a protest vote is going to help their situation?

I expect they hope it'll lead to jobs coming to their area rather than more shiny buildings where the steel works used to be.
And that 40% figure is just an example of how blatantly both sides have been trying to manipulate the voters to their own agenda.
