This is a normal post I thought the same until I saw his pre-referendum piece
It was all the usual Mary-Poppins-Benny-Hill informed yank stereotypes of Brits (teeth, bowler hats, tea, etc.) but delivered in an English accent, followed by an hilarious sweary song "We are the United Kingdom, you can eat our spotted dicks" sung in an American accent by Americans wearing Union Jack waistcoats.

Utter cock.

This is a normal post Are we talking currently airing shows, or American telly in general?
Yes, there's tons of shite on American television, mostly due to there being so many god-awful channels/broadcasters. But to say that John Oliver's show is literally the only good thing on American television is a bit short sighted. There's some f*cking fantastic stuff coming from the US.

Archer
Preacher
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Wire
Breaking Bad
The Leftovers
Mr. Robot
Oz
The Americans
The Sopranos
Fargo
True Detective
Transparent

Obviously it's all down to personal taste. But if you think John Oliver is the only good thing on American TV then I'd guess you're not looking hard enough.

This is a normal post flatly the stupidest thing on American television and tailored for low information voters.
It doesn't seem strange to you the man left England behind for something he felt was better and now presumes to speak for all England.

He really needs to recluse his opinion and STFU, but that's not what American Democrats do. He is American Democrat now.

Believe me, England is a lot better, a lot stronger, and much better off without that useless and very thick layer of superseding governance. Your system is better than all the rest of Europe combined. Your system is best of all. Better than their system. Their system is for pissants who need to be told what shape their bananas, need to be told their tea kettles and their toasters are wasteful of electricity and are not right for Climate Changeā„¢, your toilet basins hold too much water and must be changed, your shower heads all need to be low flow. You need to be less of yourself, do less, and think properly. And all this out of Belgium, that glimmering bright spot on the planet.

The real question, the real anomaly is having joined EU in the first place.

The television show's American viewers are the absolute thickest of all American voters. That's who you think is interesting. Haven't you noticed the audience claps like trained seals?

And what's your opinion about the situation for those of us in the UK who don't live in England?
