I'm pretty sure the police have a genuinely legitimate reason for imposing a sexual risk order on the guy. But it's a bit questionable to place those kind of restrictions on somebody after being acquitted of the offense.
I'd hazard a guess that he's been convicted of sexual offenses previously and the police feel he's at high risk of reoffending despite his recent acquittal, but it does seem a BIT petty.
