As for Syrian refugee crisis, imagine for a moment if you will had Bush been president of US how do you imagine this narrative of German refugee crises would go? What you be spoon fed daily, as if religiously, as if recounting and committing to received catechism.
You'd be hearing how it was Bush fucked up so badly he actually caused the Syrian crisis. You'd be hearing how Bush personally instructed Condoleezza Rice to destroy Gaddafi, by then a useful US ally. You'd hear how Bush supported Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt against Morsi. You'd hear how Bush dropped Iraq on ideologic basis like a hot potato knowing their secular political reality required continued US support, but no, Bush cannot take up that despised project so the whole nation fell basically to prove the conceit. So it is Bush responsible for the fall of Iraq and it is Bush who is responsible for Libya, for Egypt, and especially directly responsible for creating the power vacuum in Syria. That is what you'd be hearing all day and all night.
But it's not Bush, it's Obama and he leads from behind and that suits European mentality just fine, power vacuums all over the globe are just fine, so Obama is protected from deserved opprobrium that Bush or any Republican for that matter would receive full blast.
