for me would suggest it's just part of the podium, and Donalds probably had a switch with a light too.
The email stuff is dodgy, but nothing suggests she's a master of misdirection who could pull some con on live TV in front of 84 million viewers.

she did have the podium modified before the debate.
Even if it's just gaining an advantage with better lighting or mic. I'm sure there's some sneaky shit going on here.
