The thing with old full-strength Stella was that it WOULD flip a switch in your brain at some random point after about the seventh or eigth pint.

I wonder what started it's reputation. Even at 5.2 ABV it's still far from typical
strong euro lagers which are usually substantially above 5.8-6 ABV as regular (not
light) lagers can be 5.5-6 ABV already.
