All the math is on there to check. it's based on the starting salary of a nurse. Even if it was the average salary I think it's still going to a 2 million nurse-hours!

This is a normal post Fair enough, but it's still misleading.
In the same way the £350 million Brexit bus claim wasn't untrue, but it was a gross figure, not a net figure. So not actually a lie, but not really the truth either. Much like your claim. Anyway, we'd benefit much more from more doctors. But this country has long sentimentalised the role of nurses since Florence Nightingale. Or Mary Seacole, if you prefer.

the other costs for employment (overheads, training, etc.). Page 188 of this document: www.pssru.ac.uk/project-pages/unit-costs/2016/index.php helpfully adds those up for you. It suggests that a Band 6 (which would probably reflect an average grade) hospital-based nurse would cost the NHS around £50,000 per year. If they're based in London, it will be around 50% more.
