Some cats respond well and seem to increase their 'vocabulary'.
I reckon some two way operant conditioning takes place over years, so the sounds accrue meaning.
This has unexpected disadvantages, the Siamese swears at me if I attempt to whistle or sing; The massive fluffy bastard complains if I put the guitar amp on.
