I tend to think if a uniformed policeman turns up
and says 'we have reason to believe J Alfred Prufrock is on these premises, drinking coffee and talking of Micheal Angelo, we have a warrant for his arrest, let us in' you get the fuck out the way.
One of the reasons a police officer can enter a home without permission is explicitly to enforce an arrest warrant. PACE = and was always possible prior to this. THe arrest warrant and actually waving it is ludicrous.
