I can’t see what I’m supposed to be doing. I get that I need to draw a line from the bottom left to the top right, but beyond that I’m lost.

If you haven't played The Witness, you won't know how to read the symbols.

but i'd highly recommend playing the game. the experience of learning each puzzle type is very satisfying, especially when you come across puzzles combining various rules.
