This is a normal post I've tried doing all that fancy stuff with the slow cooker and wasnt very impressed
Everything came out tasting more or less the same. It's good for stews and soups mind. I have a load of beef shin in the fridge right now waiting to go in

This is a normal post I was always a proponent of slow cookers for soups and stews.
I've now realised that pressure cookers take a fraction of the time, with better results. This is also true for braising meats.
