Great! He's a shit actor.
The turning point in his career was when he lost loads of weight for The Machinist. That's not acting, that's just not eating. Entire human populations have done that simultaneously. It's fucking easy.
The Nolan Batmen weren't successful because of Bale. It's a mark of the films that they survived his ludicrous ham growl. Fassbender, for instance, would have been infinitely better. Downey Jr, Gosling.... throw a dart.
I can't remember a single thing about anything else he's done. That's because it's all shite (Empire of the Sun is brilliant).
