You're harping on about how much you love The Guardian, and I'm the twat.

And you continue to evade the question
of what you consider to be the bastion of integrity when it comes to reporting.

You question is based on a false premise.
When did I ever state or imply that such a 'bastion of integrity' in 'reporting' exists? How was that article reportage? It was a first person single source account published entirely uncritically. Is that reporting?

It's not "reporting"
It's the Experiences column in the Life & Style section. It's not meant to be hard-hitting journalism, or even just professional journalism. They solicit stories which are then submitted by not-journalists, and the "best ones" are picked by the editorial team for publication every Friday.

So why are chinchilla and fish using the term 'bastion of integrity in reporting' when discussing this article?

Because they're conflating "journalism" with "some other stuff our core readership will lap up something fierce"?
I do like the Grauniad's actual journalism, like actual news articles about things that actually fucking matter, but the sideshow stuff they rightfully get ripped for to either pad out the print edition or to go fishing for clicks does absolutely nothing for me.

Is Carole Cadwalladr your favourite actual journalist?
My favourite actual journalist is Owen Jones.

Excuse me, can I just point out
My whole original post was that the Guardian website is getting more and more full of Horseshite.
Mr Penis ranted insultingly about the content of the whole site (and readers), and I asked him for his alternative, that's the entire sensible discussion, and it died out pretty quickly.
Prufrock separately being a twat unable to use words like "whataboutery" correctly or understanding concepts like "Guardian website" or "when the sun is shining" is pretty much a given. And since he somehow seems to link "horseshite" with "love" I can only assume he is a coprophilic weirdo. Which doesn't surprise me.

I realise you "can't be bothered to waste any more effort on this" but the puerile ad hominems you have plenty of time for.

Yes, you are

Jay Rayner's restaurant reviews. The Observer, but same website, for a start
But I can't be bothered to waste any more effort on this, on such a nice day.

Your defence of the Guardian amounts to the restaurant critic of the Observer because it's the same website
There's no arguing with that.

Your apparent inability to read makes this argument utterly pointless. Not replying after this
The silliest thing of all was that I was originally going to reply to your first post with something like "yes, the guy is a knob, but the Guardian can get even worse than that at times, still best of a bad bunch though."
Hope you got out to enjoy the sunshine like I did.
