This is a normal post Nothing will change in the papers
All the papers send their political reporters to briefings so you always get the left/right angle on everything. I wish they would send along the ones who know what are the right questions to ask instead of lame attempts at gotcha.

As for Gove, he is such a wanker, but I do tire of the pathetic misuse of that quote by lazy reporters and Twitter twats with an axe to grind. What he actually said was this:

"I think the people in this country have had enough of experts with organisations from acronyms saying that they know what is best and getting it consistently wrong."

I have as well. There are plenty of self-appointed experts in areas where there are no absolutes, yet always come out with black/white opinions as if they were facts.

This is a normal post what do you mean by 'self-appointed'?

This is a normal post The ones who constantly question what the CMO and CSO say
without having any domain-specific knowledge or qualification to do so.

For example the 200 signatories to the open letter in the Financial Times. Not one had a relevant qualification.

Plus all idiots on Twitter, like Piers Morgan etc. The number of times you see "it's just common sense" to describe some knee jerk reaction without thinking about unforeseen repercussions is magnitudes higher than a reasoned analysis.

(Gove was actually talking about economists at the time, who do seem to always get it wrong yet remain respected by the media, usually when what they say reinforces their own political prejudices)
