It certainly wasn't what it appeared to be and it's nice to know it wasn't aimed at the audience. I'm not sure how I'd have reacted if I was in the bouncer's position and a tambourine bounced off my head.
"Sorry Mr. Hall - I didn't know that was the signal to let them up on stage"!
