This is a normal post trane was alright, but even in Davis's late 50's sextet I thought adderley was the better sax player
better phrasing and dynamics. people worship trane for his innovation, but as with free jazz I reckon part of the appeal is that by appearing to like the shrillness, the unmelodic dissonance, by association they too will seems cool and complex. /b3ta jazzfight

This is a normal post I agree about Adderely - I have been hammering Milestones for the first time in decades
and the richness of his tone stands out.

I used to be really into free jazz, until I noticed the one thing you're not free to do is to get into a groove, which is the opposite of free.
