One point we may agree on: overpopulation is fucking up the planet so less kids would be a good thing.
One thing we may not agree on: it's not the kids' fault they were born.
Wealth distribution is highly unequal; saying the parents can feed their own kids is not helping anyone; not the parents, not the children, not the wider society.
Children need social structure, an education and access to decent food or we are just going to get a generation (or yet another generation?) of obese undereducated, bored, resentful assholes who will propagate the situation.
Of course, if you would rather sit in a gated community shouting 'let them eat cake' so you don't have to actually see poverty and the effect it has on those children, then that is your right, in the same way it is my right to ask you to go fuck yourself.
