This is a normal post it isn't energy efficient.
you can mix bitcoins to obscure their source.
other cryptocurrencies are like bitcoin. It's just advocates of bitcoin want to keep bitcoin the standard of crypto to keep the price high.
It can be controlled by a few that own the majority of bitcoin (big mining syndicates/early investors with lots of cash to buy them).

This is a normal post As I understand it, which is very, very superficially,
these mixing/laundering/tumbling services are opt-in, and the only ones opting in to a money laundering service are shady people with awful stuff to hide. So your mix of coins may not come from or go to your hired goon directly, but from a cloud of other hired goons, drug dealers, organised criminals, pimps, slave-masters, Young Conservatives, Islamofascists, etc, each with their own dirty blockchain trail leading back to potentially worse crimes than the one you're trying to hide.

Also, as I understand it, which is a very shallow understanding, using these kinds of services is a great way to attract the attention of GCHQ.

This is a normal post "contrary to popular belief bitcoin is energy efficient, it actually comes from 70% renewable energy"
yeah, he doesn't understand what 'energy efficient' means. currently bitcoin mining alone uses 0.21% of world energy use, or the about the output of 7 large nuclear power stations (66.7 terawatt-hours per year). the 70% renewable he quotes is not from scientific research, but a dubious claim by Coinshares, a trading site, that contradicts better research that estimates it's already costing 22.9 million metric tons of CO2 per year, the output of a medium sized country. And due to its nature, the processing power needed increases as it reaches its end game, so this figure will rise
