and don't start on The Daily Mail. I try to read The Times but honestly, it's fucking rabid. The only that really rate is the FT and I'm too stingy to get an online subscription.

Or just bin news sites entirely. How much is your life improved by knowing that Tiger Woods has crashed his car again?
I took a three month break from news sites last year and was much happier as a result. I'll probably do it again soon. If something important happened, I still found out about it. There's nothing to be gained from doomscrolling, and a lot to lose.
