exactly, people are taught that it's the electric charge/ electrons that carry energy in electric circuits - not electromagetic radition (EMR)
EMR used for example in the moon call, seems ok based on my teachings - for now!! until some other magic comes along

Are you saying bulb 2 lights (almost) instantly, but bulb 1 takes 2 secs?
If 1 came on instantly, you'd be able to signal to your mate on the Moon at faster-than-light.
