God I hate Lloyd Grossman.
The only thing worse than an affected plummy toff accent is when a yank does it.
A close second is the faked excitement from the likes of that baldy trumped-up gobshite of a greengrocer.
Compared to those two there’s nothing remotely pretentious about the Two Fat Ladies.

I’m not defending Grossman’s accent,
but that is kind of how posh people from Boston, where he’s from, speak. I’d rather that than the rich white California accent that’s so prevalent. I do resent him for his pasta sauces though. They are quite tasty, but they’re overpriced and contain too much sugar.
