If Russians withdraw from Bakhmut, I can totally see Russia nuking it in a fit of pique.
It's completely empty so there's a nice safe target and they can rattle their nuclear sabre and show that if they lose they will leave scorched earth behind.
That will learn those filthy Nazi Ukrainians
