- the weekly update from him about his students' everyday lives, about his own life, they're horrifying. Everyone is trying to get on with living and learning and loving and all that everyday stuff, and around them all is the imminent threat of war crime, shelling, and rockets, and drones.
"Sorry, I couldn't make it to lesson this morning, my village was shelled."
"Hello [student], how are you this morning? Was it loud last night? - No. There were explosions, but they were far away - like a distant storm. I slept very well." *
It's visceral, reading this from a guy I've known since we were kids, talking about students and their families, the same ages now as when we were hanging around trying to scam our way into pubs and clubs underage, and drinking in the park.
*I'm paraphrasing, so his posts are less doxx-able.
Soz, that's not very funny. I bet they're all having a right laugh there with their rockets, amirite?

Since AFAIK it was filmed by Ukrainians and posted on a pro-Ukrainian channel, I'm not in a position to argue they shouldn't video it.
I've followed this phase the war daily since watching the cctv feeds in Kyiv on 24nd February, so I am aware of at least some of what is happening there.

- the tenacity of the Ukrainians during this horror is fucking awesome.
Sorry if that didn't come off clearly, it's late and I suppose I'm feeling a bit morose.

In one recent video, a group of soldiers is walking up a path strewn with bodies. Stopping by a pile, one says 'don't worry lads, it's not about winning or losing it's the participation that counts'.

Lots of uncensored military horror and misinformation so not appropriate.
Some fascinating and well filmed reporting, including specific units and battlefield scenarios. Not B3ta stuff really.
Here is the first of a series of six by the K2 54th mechanised brigade
