This is a normal post I have a old mate who has a Ukrainian family, and teaches English in Ukraine
- the weekly update from him about his students' everyday lives, about his own life, they're horrifying. Everyone is trying to get on with living and learning and loving and all that everyday stuff, and around them all is the imminent threat of war crime, shelling, and rockets, and drones.

"Sorry, I couldn't make it to lesson this morning, my village was shelled."
"Hello [student], how are you this morning? Was it loud last night? - No. There were explosions, but they were far away - like a distant storm. I slept very well." *

It's visceral, reading this from a guy I've known since we were kids, talking about students and their families, the same ages now as when we were hanging around trying to scam our way into pubs and clubs underage, and drinking in the park.

*I'm paraphrasing, so his posts are less doxx-able.

Soz, that's not very funny. I bet they're all having a right laugh there with their rockets, amirite?

This is a normal post I think the humour is about how he carries on regardless.
Since AFAIK it was filmed by Ukrainians and posted on a pro-Ukrainian channel, I'm not in a position to argue they shouldn't video it.
I've followed this phase the war daily since watching the cctv feeds in Kyiv on 24nd February, so I am aware of at least some of what is happening there.
