This is a normal post Ok, well argued.
I think there will now be little or no Right inclined voter apathy, whereas if Biden remains the candidate Left inclined apathy will be very high. Also, you completely discount the phenomenon of swing voters. They really do exist, and they can and do make a difference. To people like you and me it is insane that someone could vote Biden one election then Trump the next, and vice versa, but it happens. In most places these loons don’t make a difference, but in the so called swing states… Plus some people will feel sorry for Trump, and admire him for carrying on. This only helps him.

Yeah there are certainly some voters who are disenfranchised with both parties (like me) but they're still a small percentage of our deeply divided nation made artificially close by our highly gerrymandered voting districts.

I personally believe ranked choice voting or a straight up popular vote would yield higher quality candidates who better represent the common good but think it'll take more hardship before we see those kinds of reforms, unfortunately.
