No employer "owes" any kind of gift.
So trying to work out a monetary value of one serves no purpose. Especially when the recipient was plenty happy about it.

I got more permanent things...
But not for arbitrary "years worked" reasons. Got 'em for meeting project deadlines or beating them.
I did work for a mil contractor though, and they don't tend to do shit gifts.
