Just needed reference to the ones that are so long and arduous the kids have grown up and left home, the wife has filed for divorce, and the guy is left alone in a half-finished shell £5m in debt.

That is basically the story behind the guy who says '2 million'. I did try using more elements of his divorce and stuff, but I wanted to keep the length down so I cut it out.
