Taking this seriously (which is something I like to do for a laugh),
I am so, so upset by shorts because I hate short-form video made to be viewed the wrong way up on a mobile phone screen, looped forever by default in a way that humans find addictively enticing, with infinite pseudorandom selections based on your online history 'curated' to make you infinitely 'engaged' via rage, joy, depression, bias, bigotry, whatever.
