I find it hilarious
that if you study the material properties, one of the best things you can make speakers from is essentially cheap chipboard, because it has inner materials of different sizes and constitution, and as a result is quite acoustically non-resonant.
Then you get people paying thousands of pounds for something you could make in your garage from stuff ripped out of your old kitchen.
