- but I don't like to wish death on even the shittiest of shits

I may not always be entirely sincere when I say I am. Using 9/11 as a verb may be a clue to that.
That being said, there are more than 8.2bn of us and the greedy comedians are probably not potential Einsteins. I wouldn't be giving up my parachute to Jimmy Carr, and if there's a runaway trolley problem and Louis Ck is in its path, I'm not throwing that switch (unless there's an even better target).

- but I would push Carr into the path of a combine harvester if
it meant I'd get a 99 with a flake.

from long experience Ive found people reserve far more of their ire to whoever gets between them and the target of their righteous indignation than they have for the target itself. It's because that impulse never really springs from a place of empathy. Rather it's the licence the alleged trangression affords them to be awful online yet still feel righteous and approved that's seductive, and they hate it being taken away or challenged. This is pretty much all twitter is, but to give a b3tan example, remember sockcooker hounding that bloke off the board for posting a review about a game with a paedo joke in it? then we learn sockcooker spent four years brothelcreeping in thailand boasting about how the underage sex workers were probably older than they look. His response to me pointing that out was to put me on ignore rather than post a lot of further links trying to keep the righteousness alive, but you get the idea
How's that for ad hominen and strawman? Not bad, ay?
