well, seeing I was mentioning him it seemed like a detail that was hard to leave out
something about the fickle and precarious nature of mortality
only the second time i met him after my cousin's wedding 20 years previous. I remember him telling back then he was doing Sean Paul's music video, of whom I had no idea who he was and am still not much wiser. This time we were talking about how he went from making 400k a year to being out of work for 2 years during covid, and the state of industry, but he also was telling me how much he was into pickleball, his ultimate downfall. Flew out the next morning from honolulu to LA. The next day I went for a body surf and came back to a house of crying women.
