It’s based on a true story….
Me and my friend went into a bar around 2pm. The door was open, but the lights were off and they hadn’t officially opened yet. No problemo, we just put our backpacks down, grabbed a seat at the bar, and waited.
Eventually the bartender comes over to greet us. He extends his hand and introduces himself. We all shake hands and introduce ourselves too. And then he literally asked us what kind of shots we wanted to do. I told him we didn’t want shots, we came for your famous house-special lemon-basil martinis. Then there was a pause.
I asked if he was new here. He said he was. Then he asked us, “Aren’t you guys the photographers?”
It turns out they weren’t opening until 4pm that day because they were doing a promotional photo shoot, and our backpacks made him think it was our camera gear.
