But that's a silly, invertedly snobbish take, which I realise. LC is kinda the GOAT.
It was actually someone on here who posted a Knower link, a couple of years ago, and now I listen to them at least once a month! Just 'Life' though, as it compresses their chops into more pop-ish structures and I appreciate working within limitations. The rest of their material can get a little too jazz, a little too 'clever'..

I love listening to "Life" just for the conductor's comment at the end.
After such a great performance, hearing the conductor end it with a terse "Disgraceful" is the perfect finish IMO.
Out of curiosity, do you find tracks like "It's all nothing until it's everything", "Do hot girls like chords" and "I'm the president" too jazzy?

There are exceptions of course, like the tracks you mentioned. I think it comes down to an impression of tightness. 'Life' was pretty tight, whereas there's a looseness to the rest of their catalogue which doesn't hit in quite the same way, for me.
