Back in Black
I made this!
... in the style of Jose Gonzales. Vastly improved from a previous recording posted on here a week ago. Constructive criticism please?
In particular, I corrected my misheard "back on the track and livin' to fuck" so it now sounds like "takin' the flack". Which I'm sure put Brian Johnson's mind at ease.
It's about 4m30s long, but still considerably shorter than the original. Not as in-your-face though.

constructive is my middle name!
Acoustic guitar is a bit woolly-sounding, like you've put a mic on the soundhole? Try a mic at the end of the fretboard instead.
Vocal sound is kind of woolly too, kind of gets mushed in with the guitar, may be time to fork out for a condenser mic
Nice laid-back production though ... couple of missed string bends maybe? and the extemporised solo sections don't quite come off but I can see where you were going with it.
Overall, I like it, could do with a spot of percussion maybe to move it along and a clearer-sounding mix

Cheers
It is a condenser mic, but I reckon I'm not using it right. The points about the sound hole vs the fretboard definitely noted though, and I'll keep experimenting with how to get the vocals clearer.

This is lovely
but the vocals are a bit too backgroundey. I've been listening to loud music all night and I had to turn everything up so I could hear the words.
I think this song really needs to be heard in headphones rather than on a stereo.

I DID put it together using phones - perhaps I need to grab a couple of bookshelf speakers for Christmas.
Glad you liked it in principle though. I'll have another shot in a week or two.
