To some people, pain is not necessarily a bad thing.
Fucking hooray for diversity, I say.
Oh, and from the look of what went on, it doesn't look all that painful. A few hundred years ago, people had their limbs removed without anaesthetic and somehow got through the pain. Women give birth all the time without pain relief. If people weren't such wimps nowadays it wouldn't seem like such a painful thing to do.
