* why not do this from a satellite or vehicle too high for these people to see, rather than bother them?
* How do we know they are there without having used satellites? Surely if they have seen us before, then technically we HAVE contacted them...
* How do we know there aren't more people we haven't contacted? If we'd contacted them then..well...we'd know they were there....
* The quote "The tribespeople are likely to think the plane that took this photograph is a spirit or large bird" is hilarious. How do we know the natives aren't saying "There's another cunt from the daily mail, if i can throw this pointy stick up his arse, can i borrow your copy of Ghostbusters on blu-ray?"

i seem to rememebr reading some time after these pics were originaly released
that they had been contacted previously, and that the guy that released them told a little bit of a porky to raise awareness of logging practices that threaten communities such as these.
