This is a normal post I would recommend
anyone to visit the many WW1 sites in Belgium and France. Tyne Cot, the Menin Gate and so forth. It is a life changing experience, and much like the Grand Canyon, no pictures or articles can describe what you see. Over 90 years on, there are still bomb craters, trenches etc remaining. Memory might be deceiving me, but I seem to recall in the corner of one cemetary a small plaque that read "Here lie the remains of 5,000 unknown German soldiers".

This is a normal post I went on a trip with school a few years ago.
We visited one graveyard, where two old boys from the school are buried. They wouldnt have fought along side each other, they wouldnt have known each other at school, and yet they were buried about 5 yards apart.

Visiting these sites is something everyone should do.

There are several german sites like the one you mentioned. I remember one which had a sillouhette cutout of 4 soldiers as a memorial to all the unknown soldiers.
