Obviously Gary Oldman went to the Mike Leigh school of directing
I mean I love Secrets and Lies, but esentialy Mike Leigh's idea of gritty workingclass dialogue is napalming the whole thing with fucks and cunts. Ken Loach is far superior, draws out great drama and poigniency rather than just presenting some sort of hilarious characterture.
