It does smell a bit suspicious (not that people can't come up with the same idea, though marketing people are rarely known for caring about such matters).
Have the Axis of Awesome commented on it? You never know, they may have been paid for the idea.

I don't think it was an original idea when Axis of Awesome came up with it.
People have known for a long time that some songs sound like other songs.

The fact it's the same song and a
popular YouTube video suggests they may have been 'inspired' by it, though.
Ultimately, it is impossible to prove such a thing.
