This new firmware is very good, as the original R4 is out of date.
(just been playing Okami DS..in Japanese..confusing but fun)

Also, you can watch movies (convert to .dpg) on the DS as well as other goodness.
I am expert should you need ass-is-tance.

I run DsReader on mine, many books-goodness.
Also NeoGeo emulator, also SNES emulator.
