I'm a miserable git but little annoys me more then people being LOLwacky for charity. Last year my entire staff (all 4) wore the 'wrong trousers'! For a whole day! They took pictures and everything. Oh, how we laughed. They raised 6 whole pounds, 2 of which were from me to buy out of it.

'I'm having fun, give me money' works less for me than 'I'm not having fun, but will push myself to do something if you give me money'. The volunteer lifeboat crew going out in a force 9 gale gets my pounds; not a comedy actor in a tutu or a group on a pub crawl wearing fancy dress.

it is just the smug we are so wacky but it is all for charity attitude that bugs me. No it isn't. They want to do it. I wouldn't mind so much if they were honest about it.
