
It looks like his hydraulics have completely gone for a burton. Many years ago there were times when pilots had hydraulic fluid loss and people were peeing into the tanks to enable them to land! Might be true now but maybe not in this case

United 232 managed it, more or less.
Secondly, I think they must have had at least the rudder under control. Turbine engine response times are far too slow to correct those oscillations - the lag between demanding a power setting and achieving it is in the order of seconds.
