This is a normal post None moreso than at any other time of the royals existing
If they really are such a threat and such a problem why do we (as a mass) only get upset about them periodically?

Maybe it's just a flavour of the day type of thing, and the rest of the time we don't give a shit.

I understand what the whole republican let's protest the wedding lot are getting at, I agree with a lot of what they say. But I have had a library, I have the internet, I have access to government documents. If I'd want to see the wedding I wouldn't want a self-important loudmouth ruining it, and if I disliked the wedding, well, I have every opportunity to inform myself without a self-important loudmouth ruining it.
